I've been a member of Social Mix for 5 months and am so glad I joined.
Recently divorced I decided I needed to get out and about more, make
some new friends and have a go at doing different things. So far so good!
There is an excellent variety of activities on offer and the events I've
attended have all been very enjoyable (especially the meals!) with good
company. Nice too not having to organise anything yourself! If you feel a little
nervous about joining up on your own that's perfectly understandable but you
don't need to be. Everyone is very friendly and will make you feel welcome.
So come on do it! You won't regret it.

I joined Social Mix in February 2007 and wonder where the year has gone.  Great events, great places, great people.  I have been horse riding for the first time ever, cheered at basketball game, walked in the countryside and had some great meals out.  What more could anyone want?? My partner and I moved to Chester in January and did not know anyone in the North West.  To say that we were fortunate that Karen had recently set up Social Mix would be an understatement.  I saw an advertisement and we decided to give it a go.  Since then we have made some great new friends and through the diverse activities have got to know the local area (especially the best pubs and restaurants) a lot better than we would have on our own.  Whatever the reason that you need to improve your social life, I thoroughly recommend Social Mix, so come and meet us!
